Abstract Logo: Citizens For Modern Transit

CITIZENS FOR MODERN TRANSIT
This abstract logo was designed to be industrial and iconic. The shapes form a symbol that is uniform in weight, symmetrical, and can work well with and without typography. The logo is to primarily be used alone, with typography playing a much smaller, secondary role.
PROCESS

Drafts were designed and iterated through quickly in adobe illustrator. Many of these symbols are derived from previous drafts which was a crucial part of creating the final design solution.

Citizens for Modern Transit started in 1985 in St. Louis, Missouri. They serve people in the region and advocate for infrastructure and accessibility. CMT promotes development for transit systems and policies pertaining to public transportation. CMT is different from other transportation organizations because it is specific to the St. Louis area.

CMT serves people in areas with lackluster public transportation, the overall St. Louis community, and people with disabilities. Our identity system reflects our five core values: advocacy, efficiency, sustainability, progress, and collaboration.

BRAND GUIDELINE WEBSITE

Brand guidelines were created for the CMT logo in web format. These guidelines include Do’s and Don'ts, colors, typography and type pairings, and photography.
